http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif ?i've had this problem for some time now. it comes and gos, thank God it doesn't stick around too long. it's like you have a lump in your throat,ya know how you feel when your trying to hold back tears, when your crying? well thats kinda what it feels like, but it seems to make it hard to breath, i went thru all kinds of tests, and they found no lump... nothing! said its caused by stress, when it shows up,sometimes it lasts only a week but it has hung around for as much as a month or so..... also feels like you can't swallow completely,it's the craziest thing, just want to know if anyone else has had this problem, or could shed any light on it, thanks ? http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif guess i should have put this under symptoms http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

...I have had some of the same symptoms as you...problems with swallowing....lump in the throat....like a band around my neck. I was dx with Sjogren's and when given Evoxac to add more moisture to my system it cleared up immediately. Bloodwork and Shirmer's test (where they put strips in your eyes to test your tear production) is how I was dx. I have no tears and my mouth is real sensitive to cold drinks and foods and ache all the time. The meds helped me with my teeth and throat but not my eyes. Use drops for eyes. Joyce
