Hello,

My name is Tracy...I was diagnosed correctly 2 years ago by mishap. My hands and feet were swollen and I was in the emergency room. The doctor that drew my blood for the test didnt say much to me just looked at me gravely. Then a few nights later I got a phone call...telling me that it was the dr from the er and that I tested positive for lupus and then he hung up. I didn't even know what lupus was. B-4 that I had been told that I had everything from acne to roseacea and my dermatologist was giving me minocycline for thatI took that for almost 2 years....I have since gone to NorthWestern hospital in IL and found out that I have borderline lupus (thats 3 symptoms out of 4) and rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative joint disorder. I applied for ssi but they turned me down...I do have medicade though....I had to get it I was going through a divorce when I found out that I had all of this and my now x husband cancelled me on his insurance policy and trust me no insurance company will touch me now. I am not usually so negative as this sounds but I wanted to be honest and get the facts out...I have lots of questions and am glad I found this site.
