Think I have got this posting in the right area. http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I am to be on the steroids for 7 days and have been on them for 5 days already. Not working. 40mg per day. I keep bugging the GP about getting me into the rheumy asap. Hope I can get some action soon.

I am on it for joint ?and muscle pain, swelling, fatigue, etc, etc, and so on http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ? I was told they should kick in within the first few days. ?I feel like I must be getting sugar pills http://www.thelupussite.com/public_html/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ? I guess I will keep calling and bugging the GP. ?Maybe that will get me some action with the rheumy to.

Well one sure way to check if you are taking sugar pills or not is to check if you have the classic side effects from the pred!

Have you developed a moon face/puffy face which is expected on 40mg of prednisilone?

Have you been referred to a rheumatologist? If you have, why don't you phone his/her secretary and ask when the appointment is for? Explain you are desperate to be seen and can they help. It usually works!
