i am currentlyon
neurontin 300mg x 3
prozac 40mg
losec 20mg x 2
today i was in SO much pain i took 2 ibuprofen
this has really helped me .
i wonder if this is safe for me to take
i dont usually take any thing else but i was climbing the walls and crying in pain

Ibuprofen is one drug lupus patients have to be careful of as it is known to upset us.

Carrie when we are desperate we will take anything to help relieve the pain. I am pleased it helped you. I suggest you ask your doctor for a good anti inflammatory.

I used to take ibuprofen before I started diclofenac. I didn't have any adverse reactions to it.
Call your pharmacist and ask what interreactions there might be with the neurontin and other drugs you take. Take care. love gladm. :wave: :flowers:

Hi Carrie

I think you need to see your doctor to have the cause of the pain investigated and the right painkillers and other medications prescribed for you.

If you have lupus you aren't taking any medications for it by the sound of it

It's not a good idea to self medicate and nobody here can tell you what is safe except that Iboprufen isn't advised as a painkiller for people with lupus.

i dont intend to take this on a regular basis, but yesterday i was desperate i didnt know what else to do.i will ask my pharmasist.. we are on good terms....should be by now!!!
i didnt want to change my meds until i see dr.decruz on the 29th.17 days and counting. i am just worried that i will have a day like that and be unable to travel.
