HEY YA"LL!!

Hey EVERYONE!!! Wow it has been too long! I need to really get my act together and become more active in the posting process I will try!! Promise!

Well I am sitting here and feeling yucky as we all do at sometime or another!
I am sick to death of getting Larygitis, those of you that know me, I am a chatter box and to have no voice is like excrutiating!!! Good thing laryngitis doesn't affect my typing!!! :D Anyways I have had it over a week now and it got better but on friday I had 32 kids in my class as the other Kinder teacher was ill, and for some reason I felt yucky and the throat began to go down hill, by friday eve I was throwing up and running a temp and acheying and this has gone on for the last two days......thankfully I havent thrown up All day hooray for that!!!

I know Our immune systems are low anyways and I am methotrexate which brings it down yet again I believe! All the kids at school are coming down with some nasty bugs and as such I think I am acquiring them :wacko:

I feel really yucky this arfternoon, but believe it or not If I lay down a feel a littl squirmish in the tum, so I dont want to be throwing up so if it means sitting up all day so be it!!!

I'm feeling a little horrible as I had a huge weekend planned with my friends. We were to go out Friday night to a skit night which would of and apparently was awesome, then Yesterday we had a home game of football, which is always a big event and we didnt win (DRAW)but it was apparently a great game and the after party was huge!!!!!! Today being Sunday our school is having a family fun day with hepas of things going on, but I'm home again!! I can thinking of nothing worse than going out anyways but you know!!

Anyways I am going to stop babbling and Hope to see you all about soon!!!

Sorry you are not feeling too well my friend. :sick: All children are little germ bags {excuse the expression} When I'm around the grand kids, I can bet that I will be coming down with something. Never fails. :angry: I love them dearly, germs and all.

Do you get a flu shot in the fall? I did for the first time this year. I know it is not recommended for all lupies.

I came home from work after the morning session could stay if id of tried, but I have slept all afternoon and the only reason one is awake now is the puppy attacked my foot that was obviouslly hanging over the bed!! He could of attacked it at 3pm when I had my drs appointment, but sleep is good and I did sleep like a baby, I also popped a mit of pills which may of also been the reason one didnt wake up b4 hand! But anyways sleep is good and my heads not pounding like it was!!!

Hi Tam

I am wondering if you are feeling so lousy because the methotrexate is doing things it perhaps should'nt be.

Any type of virus or infection should always be reported to your doctor ASAP particularly when you are taking potent drugs like methotrexate.

When did you last have a CBC done? What about your ESR and the LFT?

I must also point out that when we have lupus are immune systems are not weak as you said in your post - they are, in fact, the exact oppostite when someone has lupus!

Our immune sytems are overactive - hence we have lupus!

Our immune system goes into overdrive and starts to attack itself - hence we are given drugs like steroids, methotrexate, imuran and sometimes chemo to suppress the immune system.

Please get yourself checked out by a doctor ASAP.

Hey Sannie thanks for the reply! I have been to the Dr and they dont seem to fazed meanwhile my drs no stuff all about anything regarded to Lupus which is a pain.

I do realise that our immune systems areover active but I didnt explain myself well at all , dont tend to be doing that too well of late but thankyou for clarrifying that!!

My colleagues at work have made other plans for my class tomorrow so I dont have to go in which is Fabulous and I am not going to argue with them at all!!! So I will go to the drs and voice my concerns!! Well as best I can with half a voice, may opt for pen and paper though!!!

and as for the blood work I know absolutely nothing about blood work I got them done a few weeks ago will have to go back for more sometime this week!!! Hey it's me again just got back from the dr... not the usual one and I am thankful for that he has ordered a heap of tests not that I understand any of it but he basically said liver, kidney function, full blood count, esr which I dont know what it is and he is also testing for glandular fever, he said maybe a long shot but he wants to check anyways!

He has also given me the rest of the week off work and said that NO INFECTION should be taken lightly when on medication like Methatrexate, I was like Ive heard that b4 recently!! hehe and told me I am not any good to my class sick and no good to myself by pushing myself and remaining sick! He was actually really good! So Im off to get bloods takena nd heading back to bed!! My warm snuggley bed!! Oh that sounds heavenly!!!
