Testing for Sjogrens Syndrome

Hey Girls,


Does anyone know what test are done to determine if you have Sjogrens Syndrome?? I have been looking on the net and I can't find anything on testing.

hi cindy,they will do a blood test..surprise surprise !!! and also the litmus test which basically is a strip of litmus paper which the put on the bottom of the eye...sounds worse than it is...and leave it there for a min...its scored on a 1 to 10 basis...10 being verrrry dry !!! i think mine was 11 !!!!! dont worry its a very simple test :)

Hi Cindy

Blood tests, symptoms, medical history and the Shirmers test are used as far as I know.

Occassionally they do a biopsy of a salivary gland.
