Hello all,

The site below was brought to our attention by SusieBB and we are gladly pinning it to make it easy for others to find. It is pinned in this section and in the living with lupus section. These are labor laws for the USA but there is probably some overlap with disabled worker laws in other countries.

Karen, I discovered that some states, like Washington, have a much more liberal interpretation of disability rights. The employer MUST find a job the disabled person can do, regardless of their disability. Also, the disabled person has three years to bring suit against the employer, as opposed to the three months in the federal law.

It might be worth checking out the disability laws in your particular state. You may have even more protections. Like I found out--too late.
