Hi Everyone,
Well I have decided I am going to give my dr one more chance......then I am moving on. I have had chronic pain in the liver/gallbladder region for sometime along with chronic reflux that he just won't address.....anyway, I am seeing him tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath. So if anyone out there knows of a good rheumy in Adelaide, I would be really really grateful, thanks!

Personally I don't know any of them (I'm in NSW)
but this site might help.
Usually the ones at major uni hospitals at least know what they are talking about. What they are like to communicate with you will need to do some snooping

Good luck and let us know,

 Dear Lily and Tara,
Thank you both for the great information! I will keep it in mind when I am ready to move on!
I have since seen my dr and ended up having a CT scan, which showed inflammation and also my dr found pleurisy in my right lung which he feels also has added to the pain I had! My husband is keen for me to find a new dr, but he did address the problems I am facing and even altered the medication for reflux to somac, so I will give him one more chance! :P In saying that, I have kept a copy of your posts to look at if things change  mmmmmmm I hope not!!!! Thanks again!

Hey Jeroma!! :D
Sooo glad ur current Rheumi is getting it 2gether!!
There's nothing more frustrating than not getting supportive medical attention!! :hissy:
reminds me of a personal awful ER experience :(
we deal with enough of that frm those less informed!!
Thanx 2 Lily i might have a better Dr 4 here!! YAY!
i was lucky to have wrked with Dr True @ Qeh... so i neva wouldve known any decent dr's there otherwise.
Is the dr treating the Pleurisy/ still investigating?? Ive pleurisy also & have had 4 over a year(but am allergic 2 most drugs). Feel free to ask me anything... im not a dr...& we are all different.. but can go frm personal experience.
Hope you feel better soon :hugbetter:

Hi Tara,
This thread is pretty old but I said I'd reply with someone in Melbourne, better late than never :rotfl: At St. Vincents Hospital...........Dr. Tim Godfrey (he trained with Dr. Graham Hughes in London). There are also some others listed there and more still at other Melbourne Hospitals. It says they deal with connective tissue diseases as a fair proportion of their workload, so that is a very good sign.
