Hi everyone:
I'm new here. I wanted to know if anyone had any advice on skin rashes. I have them on my face and have had no help from all the creams. does anyone know if there is any natural remedies or even a medicine that I may have not tried to treat this rash. I'm embarrassed over the way my face looks and need help.
Thanks for your words....

Sorry, I can't help. I am in the same position as you though. i have had a rash for ages now. The GP prescibed metrozone gel but altho' it took the heat outof it the colour remains. I am becoming more and more embarrassed.
I look like a big fat drunkard!
All good wishes

Hi agb!
I don't have any advice re something that might help your rash on your face, I've had mild rashes on my stomach, chest and back that respond well to Tee-Tree Oil and Aloe Vera - both natrual. Keep searching though, and welcome to the site. There's lots of good encouragement and information and support here!
Gentle Hug.
Hi agb,
Is this a Lupus facial rash? Are you on any meds right now to help control your disease?

What kind of rash? Is it like ezcema? (Red, scaley, itchy, burns?) I have rashes like that and use Elidel, is works pretty good. They were a major concern for me too, very emberassing.
(Do you have food allergies? I am allergic to wheat, soy and milk...the wheat really makes the rash flare up).

At the LupusUK conference the dermatologist who spoke said 1% was useless for lupus skin. Just by the way - maybe he was wrong.

Hi All - I used to have a terrible butterfly rash, and when I flared, my skin would look like red bumpy orange peel. My rheumy had given me a few different prescription creams but nothing worked. Then she referred me to a dermatologist who took one look and said "yep thats definately a Lupus rash" and gave me Desogen cream.
Now if I even get a hint of red starting on my cheeks I just use a spare amount of the cream for a couple of days and it totally prevents the rash from even developing. I love that stuff. I know it may not work the same for everyone but it really was the ticket for me. A dermy may be best at deciding which is the best treatment for your type of skin condition.
Take good care- Chris

I have to go to the dermatologist this week for the first time. I hope he gives me some cream. Peopel are always asking me if I'm crying etc. This red nose makes me look like a big drinker. It would be nice to have it toned down a little. Curly
 hi curly
good luck at the dermatologists :luck: hope you get a solution to your skin problems.
i am waiting for an appointment to see a dermatologist because of my red nose and cheeks. i can really empathise with you about some of the comments you get from people :hugbetter:
