new creams

Does anyone know of any new creams that would be available for the rash on my face.
Stupid me went and got sun burnt and know have this lupus rash back after nearly ten years. Iwas using cream called Logoderm that was very effective in controling the rash, but apperantly they have stoped making it.i have been using Elidel for over four weeks now with little success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh bummer :( It's so easily done

This Logoderm appears to be the Mexican brand name for a steroid cream containing alclometasone. As far as I can see, there are several other brands with the same stuff in which might substitute.

If you search on google you'll find other brand names. I didn't notice anything about withdrawal

There are other steroids of course

I didn't find the Elidel any use either- it's not a steroid.

It might be worth having a check up to make sure there are no other signs of increased disease activity or see about stepping up a med such Plaquenil short term to help things settle down.

Definitely be manic about UV protection to help soothe it :flowers:

Good Luck and take good care - remember that overuse of these creams can seriously damage the skin.
