Hi everyone, been a while since I posted so I hope everyone's doing ok.
I am from the UK, and I just bought a product called Veet Rasera, because i'm fed up of razors. It is basically a hair removal gel cream that u put on and then you have a sort of razor thing which doesn't actually have blades.
Anyway, I just wondered with me having SLE, is this ok to use? I mean will it be ok on my skin? I don't really have sensitive skin and I don't have problems with razors, I just wanted to give this a try.
But I wanted to make sure first because even tho I don't have sensitive skin normally, I also know that lupus can play havoc with everything. Any advice would be great and much appreciated.

Caroline,

Hey. For hair removal creams, u should Always- (& this goes for any1, not just people w/ Lupus; but best w/ us w/ that rashes can be a prob.)- use it first on a small disclosed area, - do only a small area first- to see what your reaction is before doing the whole thing.

That way if u have a reaction it is only on a very small area, n u know from that, than dealing w/ it all. Then if u seem to be ok w/ that, then enjoy! :P
The cream should have direcs. n Warnings- the warning or direcs. should say about this.

Also, do Not use just any hair removal cream on your face (or even on genital areas, for that matter. ) There are certain 1's for the face; n other areas. So, it should say it's for facial use, otherwise it's best not to use on the face.

Also, it would be good to check the ingredients- that's always good, so u know what's in it n such.

Take care,
Alicia :coffee: :flowers:

Hi,

I used veet hair removal moose before I was dx with SLE and had a horrible skin reaction on the backs of my knees, so I would def recommend that skin patch test!
