Since my last post about Robyn several things have happened:
3 weeks ago as some of you know, she was admitted to hospital once again......but this time with appendicitis!!! This was nothing to do her lupus at all and even the doctors thought it was unfair :(
As she had to have her appendix removed she was told not to do anything active for 4 weeks !!!! Not good for an active 10 yr old who is generally starting to feel much better, but she got through 3 weeks fairly well............
Then on Thursday evening she had a fall, her ankle just gave way and she landed with her arm out straight :o We spent the next 4 hrs in the accident and emergency dept of our much visited local hospital
The result is that nothing showed up on x-ray, but the dr's think its possible she could have a hairline break of her elbow.........so she now has her right arm (and yes she's right handed) in a sling untill next Friday, when we go to the fracture clinic for a review.
She has also seen the paediatric nephrologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and is waiting for an appointment for a kidney biopsy as they are pretty sure that she has lupus nephritis. This will be followed by a period of about 4-6 weeks when she will again be unable to do any physical activity.
As you can see, you really couldn't make this stuff up....... lol
I will let you know what happens next :wiggle:
