What kind of methotrexate were you on? Pills? They are more likely to cause nausea than the injectable form. You have to get the injectable form at a compounding pharmacy, though.
Plaquenil can take up to a year to kick in. I didn't notice a whole lot of difference, but I think if I went off it I'd know it before long!
Prednisone is not good for the long term, but it can sure help in the short run.
Rheumatologists have quite a few meds. up their sleeves. DHEA can be tried, as can Imuran, and others. Sometimes it takes a combination of different meds. Each one of us is different. Lupus is a very complicated disease.
The best thing I've heard of about eating is to eat a sensible, well-balanced diet. Before trying anything else I would contact my doctor.
I hope you keep coming back here. And good luck! :luck: :flowers:

Hello,
Arava can have some nausea but that is only the first 8 weeks or so. you might ask your doctor for nausea meds to take with the arava for that time frame.
Take care,
Karen
