Hey all, hope luppy isn't getting you all too badly.

Just wanting some help/advice.

My legs are covered in bruise like marks all over. Dr says these are footprints left behind from inflammation. I'm on naproxen and lederken, was on prednisolone up until 3 weeks ago.

Does anyone know how to make them go away more quickly? Dr said if I moisturise it will heal quicker, but i get new inflammed patches much more quickly than it takes the old ones (which are now purple) to go away, and I have multi coloured skin. grr. can these marks be prevented?

the summer is here and I can't wear skirts (accessorised with SPF 30) cos I look like I've been beaten on my legs...

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Biscuit! ;)
I'm on pred, and your online name makes me want to eat!

I don't have the dark bruising you are talking about, but my skin tones are very uneven if left alone and also very blotchy.

I use Coppertone Endless Summer Light/Medium Tanning Lotion, the body lotion, on all skin that is visible outside my clothing, including my face. I am very sensitive to most products, but this one doesn't bother me one bit.

If you're sensitive, you might want to try a small area first and leave it for a day to see if you'll react to it before you put it everywhere.

Anyway, I use however many 'coats' it takes to darken the skin enough to even out the blotches. It doesn't leave any lines or dark spots.

If you have a dark complexion, a darker product is available.

I use it every 10 days to 2 weeks after a shower and stay in my black undies for 30 minutes after application because it DOES stain fabrics during that time.
