Hi there, :overhere:
I have a lot of lupus-type symptoms as well as a +ANA. I've seen a few doctors. One thinks it's lupus. (Internist) Another thinks it's all in my head. (Rheumy)(He didn't say that, but might as well have). Can anyone recommend someone in South Texas? I'm willing to travel, so anywhere in Houston/Dallas/Austin/San Antonio area would be great. Thanks! Cat

Catgal,
I see a doc in Houston that diagnosed me with UCTD after listening to my symptoms, not based on my bloodwork.

Catgal,
I have a wonderful Rheumatologist in Dallas. She diagnosed me with sjogren's syndrome and is watching me for Lupus. she really knows how to take time and listen to you. Doesn't belittle your symptoms or questions. Let me know if you want her name and I will get it to you.

Hey KidsPT,
I too live in the Dallas area... right now I do have a rheumatologist that has
semi-diagnosed me with lupus, but I'm not sure how seriously I was taken. If I hadn't tested so high on the ANA and some other test, I think I would have been shown the door.... could I have the name of that female rheumy you know?
thank you!

I have a rheumy in the Dallas but I am not recommending him  . In fact, I am looking for another. I do have the names of the three doctor's that the Cooper Aerobics Center refers to (and I have heard several people who use them). I too would be interested in the name of the female dr. Let me know if you want these names. I didn't know there were so many of you here in this area!
