What a day! First I became flustrated because I had an appointment with a urologist which seemed to be a waste of money... not to mention the less than wonderful examine. To top it off her aid, or whatever she is, walked in on me while I was still getting dressed. Plus she had to watch me go to the bathroom :( !!!! GEEEEEEESH how much of this stuff do we have to endure.

After reviewing everything, she basically wanted to do another urodynmics test to which I replied that I had already had one and did not want another. Then she said that since my scope had been normal with the other doctor back when I had it that she thought their was nothing to worry about and asked if I had had a cat scan. She seemed quite flustrated when I told her I was unsure if they had cat scanned my kidneys or not. Honestly, hopefully you all can relate. I have had so many tests, mri's and scans that I have no clue as to if they have looked at my kidneys or not. I would say at some point they had. Then she said she would either let my doctor order it if necessary or she would, but she did not have me follow up. I just feel like the whole appointment was a waste of both of our time and my money.

Then when I asked what she thought caused blood in my urine, she said basically the only thing that causes blood in the urine is kidney stones and cancer. I know I don't have cancer; and, I find it hard to believe that I have a constant kidney stone spilling blood into my urine. Then when I left, the girl behind the desk said when does she want you to come back? I said she didn't say she wanted me to follow-up. She looked at my chart and said "Oh." Not a suprised oh, or a nice oh, but you know the kind of "oh" I am talking about.

Anyway later today, I decided to get contacts again. We really could afford them, but I needed new glasses. Mine are quiet worn. I had had to quit wearing them about five years ago because I was only able to leave them in for a half hour tops because my eyes were inflamed and too dry. The eye doctor said I should discountine wearing them because of the dryness and inflammation. So, I did. Anyway, thought I would give it a try again. Good New (thank gosh!). I now have contacts. My vision has improved a little and my pressures were down in my eyes :)

Then, tomorrow, I am suppose to have a follow-up with my rhemie which I really need because it seems that all the doctors have been asking when I see her and telling me that my problems need to be evaluated by her. So, her office normally calls the day before an appointment. My husband has went to a lot of trouble to rearrange his day tomorrow to take me up. (IT is a three hour dry.) And, we are taking my daughter out of summer school for the day. So, tonight, I realize (at 8:30 p.m. of course) that they had not called ;) . The only other time this happened was when I was scheduled for an appointment (I even double-checked the appt. card to make sure it wasn't my mistake) and her office messed up and did not put it in the computer. Being the compasionate doctor she is, she worked me into her schedule that time. So now I am fretting that this has happened again. It is not easy for my husband to rearrange things and I worry things will be messed up tomorrow :(. Anyway I guess I will know tomorrow morning... How flustrating!!!!!

Well guess things could be better/things could be worse.

P.S. I am also shrinking according to 2 of the last 3 doctors I have seen and one asked if I had osteo. Then 1 of the 3 said I grew.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... I wish these doctors would get their acts together they get paid too much money... money we don't have mind you... for all this!

WOW! Sending you tons of Louisiana hugs! Sorry to hear so much is going on. About the blood in your urine....there are other causes besides cancer and kidney stones. I've had kidney stones, so has my son...they are extremely painful usually there is no doubt. You might want to do a search for "hematuria" and see what you come up with. You know how it is...we have to do all the research, make the diagnosis, tell them what tests to order and medication to prescribe. AAARRRGGGH! If the doc doesn't want a follow-up...I'd get another doc! Maybe the rheumy can help answer some of these questions....or you could try a nephrologist (kidney specialist)....Hope things start looking up soon! :)

Sorry to hear things are going so roughly for you!

It always seems that once one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong!
If it makes you feel any better, that is the way my life goes always.
And believe me I try to be very optimistic. :hehe:

I only hope things get way better for you and hopefully your appointment is still on for you tomorrow. My rheumy seems to get everything right on the nose. She is also very particular about her patients and goes all out for them. I hope yours is as great as I think mine is.

Anyway tomorrow is a new day and I hope all goes well for you. :hugbetter:

Take care
