Skin Biospy

Just a update on my daughter skin biospy, went to the doctors yesterday to get stiches removed and results were in. The Doctor tells us it showed she had hives, we already knew that, thats why we were going to the Doctors for. So in other words they don't know whats causing them. Told her to keep taking allegra and zantac for the next 3 months and hope that it will clear up.

I'm going to call the GP and let them know that other things are still happening, she seem like every day something is hurting on her body. On Monday after working a 8 hour day her right knee was all swollen up, yesterday her right arm was hurting couldn't even touch it and her feet were all swollen and she has stared having deep vein popping out on the back of her legs, and she only 19. also very tired all the time, if I would let her I think she would sleep all day.

Sorry I went on and on just very tired of not getting and answers.

Hi Sue,

Well that wasnt very helpful was it, can you get a copy of the biopsy report and see exactly what test they ran on it - something sounds a bit iffy there?

I think its time to press for a Rheumatology or Immunology consult, given her symptoms and the fact she's had a positive ANA. If this is Lupus then the right meds are going to make a big difference in her life. But the right meds wont be started until they work out exactly what's going on.
