I've been sick for years and still active. I don't care for my rheumatologist AT ALL! :tantrum: I need to find a new one that will take medicaid. Does anyone know of any?
By good, I mean:
1. Will REALLY listern to what I'm saying...not uh-huh, yea...blah, blah, blah...
2. Will NOT treating me like new problems are all in my head
3. Will NOT be afraid to give me pain meds for my pain
4. Etc....
Can anyone help me?

Waiting,
Hello and welcome to the lupus site. :hello:
I would suggest a major teaching hospital perhaps in Indianapolis. Most of the teaching hospitals are required to take medicaid and medicare. Find out the names at the hospital and google them to see what papers they have written on lupus or connective tissue diseases in general.
Good luck,
Karen

HI, I am also from Indiana, East Central to be exact. I have a wonderful rheumy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her name is Karen Ringwald and she practices through the Heart Center Medical Group in Fort Wayne. I have found that she is very understanding and if you have problems she is the one to call you back to discuss them. She replaced a physician that I had when I first got diagnosed. I was very worried when they told me I would have a new rheumy. After I met her I thought where have you been all my life :D . I would recommend her to anyone. I am not for sure what type of insurance they accept but it is worth a try.
visit www.heartcentermedicalgroup.com, click on meet the physicians and then on rheumatology. You will find her there.
Good luck!!!
I would be interested in finding out where in Indiana all of these posts are from. Maybe we don't live to far from eachother. My email is bahun2000@yahoo.com.
