HELLO ALL!! WELL IT'S BEEN A VERY STRANGE DAY FOR ME. MY MUM PAYED ME A VISIT, WHICH IS VERY RARE. :wacko: SHE ASKS ME TO GO TO IRELAND IN AUGUST. SHE TELLS ME THE BREAK WILL DO ME THE WORLD OF GOOD, THIS IS THE WOMAN WHO WILL NEVER TALK ABOUT MY ILLNESS, BUT TELLS ME I NEED A BREAK BECAUSE I'M ILL. :wacko: I'M CONFUSED, MAYBE SHE IS COMING ROUND TO THE FACT THAT I'M NOT THE DAUGHTER I USED TO BE. i hope the trip to ireland with your mother goes well and maybe your mother will gain a better understanding of your illness while you are on holiday.

i can understand how confusing this invite must be for you - my mother has never either tried to understand my illness or ever tried to talk to me about it - if i mention how ill i feel sometimes it is greeted with "oh".

as i said before i hope the trip goes well for you.

Maybe you shouldn't try and figure it out. If you enjoy being with your mom and feel up to a trip then go. Sometimes we can drive ourselves crazy trying to understand certain family members, at least that has been my case.

I would go and enjoy the trip with your mom, maybe she is finally coming to terms about your illness. This trip may bring allot more understanding for both of you. Have a great vacation. Take care Jude :flowers:

Maybe your Mom has understood better then you tought she did for some time but just had a very hard time dealing with her little girl being sick.
No matter how old we are we are always our parents little kids and they have a hard time attempting to get away from that.
Maybe she just needs to do something with you and try to get closer to you and this is her way of doing it.
If at all possible I would do it.
It could be very good for both of you and more then the vacation you could walk away with a new understanding of each other.
