Good morning all,

I suffer from SLE (diagnosed in March 2002) and I cannot find an insurance company that would offer me a life insurance...
Could anyone recommend a UK company that would offer life insurance to SLE sufferers?

Thanks

Stephanie

I'm in the US, and have seen this exact question before on this site. From what I recall reading here, there may not be any companies that will provide life insurance once a diagnosis of sle has been made.

I recommend you try putting "life insurance" in the search box here and see what pops up.
Best regards,

Life Insurance has been a big problem for many of us here.
There was recently another post on this but I will recover what I said in that one.

We also had this probelm and the only way we found to get coverage was to join a few groups that had insurance benifits that were at low cost and did not ask medical questions.

Orginazations that I know of that have this sort of benifits for members are American Legion, VFW, NRA, AARP. I'm sure there are many more and and even with these you can only get a basicamount not the higher levels because with higher levels they ask questions.
Basic amounts are as low as $1,000 with some groups on up to $5,000 or $10,000 with others. With the $1,000 amounts they are noramlly a freebe policy that is used to get you to purchase more which is not likely with Lupus.

Above is the link to the other post that was recently done on this. If I did this right you can click on it and read some of the other posts that were done on the subject.
