Hi all,
I just wanted to share the news of my hair growing back after 3 years. All my hair around the edges has fallen out in big clumps and a big bald spot right dab in the middle of my fore head. Well Recently ( 3 months)I started taking Biotin Forte, formula 50 vitamins and Cromagen Iron pills (by prescription) and my hair is filling in finally. I am so happy as Im 26 and too young to be bald. I have tried everything for the past 3 years and the dermatoligist even put me on something called derma smooth and nothing worked. But this combination seems to be working YIPPEE!! I can now comb my hair back into a ponytail again with out having to cover up bald spots. And yes it has grown 3 inches in length and thickenig back up. Just a suggestion to anyone who wants to try it. Kisha
Thankfully I was able to keep all of my hair *knock on wood*. I am happy you found something that worked for you. Congrats :)

That's great news about your hair. I tried biotin products when I lost a lot of hair at 19...maybe it's time to get back on them again before I go completely bald here, lol.

Hi everyone !
I found some wonderful hair products. They are manufactured by Nioxin in the USA and were originally developed for chemo patients. As I'm older and no longer have any bald patches like I did in my 30s, I just use the regular shampoo and scalp treatment. And they are wonderful.
I recommended this product to a young woman with lupus who was loosing so much hair her self esteem was going right down the poop shoot. Her mother contacted the company and they recommended that she start with another product they make that you put right on the bald spot. She said almost immediately, she had tons of peach fuzz growing and was ecstatically happy. So I can't say enough good about this new product. You can look it up on the Internet to find out how you can get it. Don't let the cost scare you. One bottle of shampoo lasts me for six months or more, and I wash my hair every day. So it ends up being cheaper than using some of the other products I've tried to help with hair loss.
How it works?: The shampoo and scalp treatment create nitric oxide once in contact with your scalp. The nitric oxide helps as a vasodilator, blood vessels in the scalp dilate and more blood gets to the hair follicles to aid in hair regrowth.
I think it's the best thing since sliced bread, and it has helped me incredibly. Even though it was developed for chemo patients, a lot of middle aged men are now using it for help with thinning hair and having success as well.
And the great thing is that it smells of peppermint, and is a wonderful reminder for me to clear out my sinuses every morning, as I tend to get sinus infections at the drop of a hat.
Hope things go well.

Hi Jamiecox.
The vitamins I purchased at CVS Pharmacy and they are made by Marilyn.
But the Nioxin products sound good also Autumn, I will have to check those out also.
Hey Neytonia,
That's great to hear about your hair regrowth!! Hope it continues for u!!
I have tried many of things. & there havde been times where my hair slowed in loss, or stopped in loss- but diddn't come back, and times where in cam back some. But, i have Never gotten my Once very thick hair back.
I Used to have VERY THICK curly hair. It's still curly, but not thick. I lost that thickness back about a year and half yrs. or so abfter i got real sick- when i was about 13 or so.
Actually, I have used Nioxin in the past. I have also used a few others of those real good brands that are high marketed and good for the hair and researched and all and for all different things and whatnot.
I would try so many things as being that young n growing up w/ hair loss and all.
Anyways, the Nioxin didn't work for me as such a miracle. I also used Rogaine. Some of my family thought the Rogaine was helping some, but i wasn't seeing much of a difference- and it is hard- as for it to really work, u are to use it every day the same tiume ofd day (as w/ any med.)
I believe- some of the things did help maybe in that the part of slowing the loss, i was staying at the same loss. But, i wasn't growing any back.
I think my problem has become- is that i lost all that hair so fast when i was young, that it's all basted on what hair was on then n now- if that makes sense. So, if i lose hair, from the illness, n regrow i will regrow to what i have now- but never to what i used to have before i was ever so sick.
Anyways, as u can probably tell, this is a sore subject w/ me. That's why i usually don't respond to this subject. But, i already did, oh well.
But, if u ever met me, u would have never thought i once had the thickest of hair- that my hair was once UNMANAGEABLY THICK.- it was actually that thick. n now u can see my scalp right through my hair. I will never wear my hair down in public- unless if i have a hat on, or a Weave put in- but that's not MY hair :P .
Ok, i've gone on n on babbling. Take care all. n wish u all an wonderful regrowth.
Take care,
Alicia :coffee:

This topic makes me so sad, i remember wishing my hair was not so thick when i was younger. Now my scalp is showing (i should have been more careful for what i wished for) I want my hair to grow back so bad, I'm only 22 when i look in the mirror and see my scalp it makes me cry, the bald patches first started in the back and thats how the doctors started doing blood work, than I had a positive ana. at first steroid injections in my scalp made my hair regrow so fast, but eventualy that stopped working and now i have indentations all around where my hair line use to be. I'm going to try the nioxin and the vitamins.
