Hi Sheila ;)
My sister was dx with OCD 3 years ago, that was so hard to deal with, I am sure it is very difficult for you to deal with Lupus and your son's OCD. It took about 2 years with medication and counseling for my sister to improve, she is doing very well now, I do hope your son is as lucky as my sister was. E-mail me anytime and I will try to help, if I can. Take care. Jude
Hey Sheila,
I'm sorry to hear also about your sons dx. of OCD.

Take care, hugsss,

Hi Shelia :flowers:
I have a 33 yr. old son who had ocd from pre-teen and on. As far as I know he still has it but we don't talk about the past at all. We are just the past several months trying to have some kind of relationship after 5 & 1/2 years of estrangement. He blames us for all his growing up problems. Well, I won't write a book, even though I certainly could !! But it was quite an expererience and heartbreaking  sums it up pretty much for me.
If you need to talk just post a reply on this thread. I will try to help if I can at all.
Best wishes,
Ruth

God its been so long since I posted back on my son..SORRY. Thanks everyone who replied to me last year. My son Jason is still at home with me, his OCD has got so bad he had to give up work, last year. He is still attending the OCD centre three days a week. I am now his Carer. We have been lucky to have had lots of help from the professonals and I have just joined my local Carers group, for people caring with people with mentally illnesses.
Jason is doing much better, but suffering badly from being unable to go outside on his own, he is 21. So I go everywhere with him. He did at one time spend 2 months not going outside at all. Rituals and thoughts that go with OCD are just as bad...IT IS A HORRIBLE ILLNESS...Yet again thanks everyone for being here for me. I not been so active on the site, due to my own bad health and my committments with family and Jason. Its helps having such supportive people to vent to.
Hugs to you all

Not sure what OCD is can you tell me, my son has SLE is it the same?
My son has SLE pretty bad he's 34 and my daughter who is 36 is going through some tests right now, she may have a mild case of Lupus too. This is just too much to believe. No one eklse that we know of in either side of the families has ever had lupus. How can this be happening. My son has clots, a filter in his chest, takes al kinds of meds, has 4 kids and a wife and he';s on total disability. My daughter has 2 kids and she's very frightened after seeing what her brother went through. Would appreciate PRAYERS
