Hey all,

I have been lurking but not posting much lately. I have a few questions please....

First, I do not have an attorney, and I am waiting for my judge hearing. I used to work for several attorneys and have received help with my case but not hired any of them. Anyhoo, here is my question...

I was given a set of forms, specific for lupus, by a paralegal who works for a ss disability attorney. I took them to my doctor. She left on family leave (her sister has cancer) and her associate, another doctor had me come in and examined me and filled out the forms for me. My question is this... she put that I can work 2 hours per day intermittently depending on the disease activity and I was wondering if this will hurt me. You see, these forms are NOT part of my medical records so I do not have to submit them.

She also put that I have some moderate affects from this disease and that I can only stand for no more than 15 minutes and sit for no longer than 2 hours either. Overall, it looks really good but that one about workign 2 hours worries me.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Jenlynn,

I think that will work in your favor. She is stating that you are incapable of working full time. Soc Sec has to find you able to work a full time job to deny ssdi. Periodic part time work would be saying, it seems to me, that you are very limited by the disease. Can you ask the paralegal what she thinks?

Remember this is just my guess.

Take care,
Karen

Hey,

I did check with my friend and she told me that what the doctor wrote is very good indeed and I should submit it soon so I can get it in my file. Seems I cannot make a living wage only being able to work about 40 hours per month so that is a good hting.

Thanks!
