Hi,
I feel the same way. I want to go to vocational retraining. There is no way that I could ever do what I use to do.
Just when I am about to go to the place to sign up the autoimmune faires beat me up.
Good luck what ever you do.

When on Disability they make arrangments that you can try and go to work if you want to try and see how it works.
To start you could try to find a job for a day or two a week and see how that goes and if it works out then you could go on to more.
If it don't you haven't lost your disability.
Your case worker should be able to answer any questions on this and should be able to help you with any reporting that has to be done.
They also offer some training options that a person can take. I do not know much about it other then that I have seen notices that it is available.

Hi,
Expanding on rwb. There is a program for re-entry into the work place. You are allowed to receive your full ssdi check for 9 months to see if you are able to work fulltime again or not. I don't remember how you go about signing up but your local social security office can hel or go online to the social security site. I don't remember the sites address but something like www.socialsecurity.gov
