Pregnant???

We are in the midst of starting a family, diagnosed 2 years ago and managing my discouid lupus on a maintenance dose of 5mgs steriods, 200mg plaquenil, mepacrine and .75mg's asprin for sticky blood. I was wondering if lupus or any of the associated drugs can affect a negative result with home pregnancy kits, as I am overdue by a week but tests are negative.

Greatful if anyone knows of anything on this subject.

Hi there,

Maybe you are just too early to do the test... You might try it in another week if you still have not had it.... I know things are different these days but when I was pregnant for my children... They didn't test until you were at least two weeks or more late...
I probably didn't help you... but I hope the results turn out to be what you want them to be... Good luck to you.

When I was unsure, I made an appointment at the dr's and saw the nurse and she did the test, and when it was negative she asked me a few questions about my cycle and how I was feeling. I wasnt pregnant but it made me a bit less focussed on it, I felt like it was taking over everything.
