My friend has lupus erythematosus and graves disease. She needs to find a dr in Long Island NY who specialized with this form of lupus. She moved here about a year ago from Myrtle Beach, SC. She cannot find an dr who specializes in this form of lupus on Long Island. Does any know of anyone? Any information would be greatly apprecated. Thanks. My email is wmjo3322

Hi
One of the best Lupus Dr on Long Island is Dr Richard Furie at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset he is the Dr who diagnosed me 18 yrs ago
But I now see Dr Allen Kaell in Port Jeff Sta. its much less of a drive for me and he is also very good
Let me know how you make out
Best wishes to your friend

Hi Joanne,
I've moved your post to the Find a Doctor forum as you will hopefully get more responses there. I've also edited it and deleted the other post you had. The only difference in the other post was that she also has Graves disease, so I've included that in this one :)
I hope she finds a good Lupus doctor :flowers:

I used to see Dr. Peter Rumore at Rheumatology Assoiates of Long Island in Melville. I thought he was good.

The Graves disease is a disease of the thyroid gland, and for that, she'll need to see an endocrinologist (as well as a rheumatologist for the SLE lupus).
Good luck,
