I thought I'd let the Seattle folks know that while I will be with them in spirit on the day of the Lupus Walk, I will be in Phoenix in body.

My mother (always a surprising person) called and informed me that as she no longer can fly the length of time it takes to get from New Mexico to my home in Washington, she had purchased a ticket for me to fly and meet her in Phoenix for a visit.

My younger sister, who had a baby a year ago, lives in Phoenix. I am extremely excited about visiting my sister and seeing the baby. I've only seen her once, for a few days after the baby was born. I am very close to my sister and it's been hard living so far away from her.

My mom is difficult to say the least, and it will be interesting to spend a week in a motel with her. I'm taking plenty of meds, extra migraine pills, and my own pillow. I've told everybody concerned that I'm just coming off a nasty flare/medication reaction and that I will have to have plenty of rest. Bedtime is bedtime, cute baby notwithstanding.

So, everybody stay well and pain-free while I'm gone (and even after I come back!). There is no computer contact so I will be out of touch entirely.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Last time I travelled to Phoenix I ended up in the ER with a migraine. I refuse to repeat that disaster!

Love and good wishes for a wonderful week!
Sunny

Hi Sunny!

How exciting - I hope that you can relax and make this a refreshing trip for yourself. It's nice to get away sometimes...and you won't have to make the bed for a few days  .

You and your family follow the same happy trails as mine; my daughter and I live in New Mexico, my only relative (cousin) lives in Phoenix and my son is in Spokane. Where in NM does your ma live?

I'll be thinking about you.

 ADIOS!

I just saw this, and I hope all is going well. I hope it's more of a vacation, and not a disaster. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/highfive.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif
