im new to this site although i was diagnosed with sle wen i was 8 ive had it since i was 2 just wondering this may sound like a stupid question but the thing is wot im after is some one who has the same symptoms as me cuz i dont know any one my age with sle and at times i feel like im the only one but comming on this site and reading some messages on the board has made me realise i aint the only one although this is nthing to bragg about i hate wish i was normal just wondering wot its like for others who have grown up with sle would be greatful if sum one wud got intouch thank you from hope

Hi, hope I just turned 19 about amonth ago and i have been diagnosed with lupus since i was about 15!!! I live in california. I never knew of anyone my age having lupus until i found this site!!! I hope you are finding encouragement here!!! trust me i feel like im the only one too... Its hard at such a young age cause you really arent able to do everything your friends do!! If you have any questions about anything i have gone through you can e-mail me or just responed to this post! I sure we could both help each other out in times like these.. im new to this site too, but feel like i have finally found a place where people really understand me. i was diagnosed at 16, and for years chose to ignore it. im now 25 and i cant ignore it anymore. i only wish that i had spoke to others years ago, to be honest, at 18 i didnt cope with it at all. i put on loads of weight due to the pred. and lost a lot of hair. i felt pretty low, and decided to hide from it instead of facing up to it. i,m glad you've found this site, and your not the only one. iv heard so many kind words already which have made a huge difference to my outlook on life. i too felt like i was the only person in the world. this site really has helped me.

Hi Hope, I?ve been sick for as long as I can remember and I was diagnosed with Lupus in grade 9 soo .. I was about 15. This is really a great side to talk to people and it makes u feel less alone style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif im glad u found this site style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
