hi everyone!
I just wonder if it's true what my doctor told me that it is okay for a lupus patient to have plastic surgery. Is it really? How about implants? I don't think having implants is okay as well.

Hi, Watslove! ;)
Plastic surgery for the sole purpose of changing appearance is not without risks. And, of course, ANY kind of trauma (cutting with a scalpel, even) can cause an autoimmune problem to flare.
So, even though your doc says it isn't CONTRAINDICATED, that doesn't mean that it will be a totally positive experience and not impact your health.
From what I understand, there is no proven, clear link from any controlled studies that shows that breast implants cause long term harm in the form of autoimmune illness, although there are anecdotal incidents and some suspicion.
What they DO cause is a capsule of scar tissue around each implant inside your breast tissue. Many women have LOTS of problems with that, and it's almost universal among implant patients.
It's something you'd need to discuss with YOUR docs to determine what to do in YOUR individual situation.
