View Full Version : Airborne
If you don't know what it is or does it is supposed to help you from getting colds etc. while in public places (like air planes). It is a tablet you dissolve in water. All it says it has in it Herbal power and 17 herbs and nutrients. I'm going on a air plane in two weeks and was nervous because of my immune system. So then I saw this and thought it sounded good. Any thoughts, ideas, or experiences would be helpfull! Thanks!

:nurse: check the label VERY carefully. Do you have Dr Wallace's book 'Living with Lupus"? He includes a long list of herbal remedies and some advice about which are safe, which are dangerous and which might be potentially helpful.
Echinachea is probably a no - no with Lupus as is Alf-alfa.
A safe bet is to drink LOTs of water, and take some alcohol spay/gel or wiles with you to wipe down toilet door handles and to clean your own hands with. Most viruses are transmitten from hand to mouth, so good hand hygien will help you a lot. Of course it can't protect you againdt that roten air recycling airconditioning.
Have a great trip!

yes, read that label... If I am not mistaken, Echinachea is one of the ingrediants in Airborne. One of my friends that I work with has lupus and was going to take it until she saw that ingredient. Always consult your doctor before taking over the counter medications. You never can be too sure.
Good Luck to you, and hope you feel better. :luck:
Yes, I looked and it does have Echinacea in it. I guess I'll just do the hand washing thing. So everyone stay away from airborne! Thanks guys! :D

Jaime,
Take the wipes for the bathroom and stuff they come in travel size pouches and I would also get waterless hand cleaner.
Off subject but you have to take your medications inside their bottles not in a pill taker. Put them in your carry on luggage.
