Hi All. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/foryou.gif

I just wanted to tell you, because of the weather change, I HAVE BEEN SO COLD.....

I mean my hands colder than ice, my feet, forget it, my body !!!! BRRRRRRRRRRR..... like I am dead.

My hubby came home and surprised me with a heating blanket and said now you can be warm. ( I think he was hating feeling me so cold too ) I thought that was so nice. I plugged in, waited, crawled under the blankets. OH MY GOODNESS.....HEAVEN...HEAVEN.....HEAVEN....... it was so warm, it brought my body temperature to a nice warmth. I LOVE IT , I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT.

I just use about one hour or a little more, then shut off for the night. But, let me tell you, it is like a heating pad wrapped around you. It is wonderful !!!!

Hi,

We have a heated mattress pad cover. It is hotter at the feet and cooler in stages to the head area. It is awesome to crawl into a warm bed. I also have my neck buddy and last year my step-mom gave me booties and mittens. They have packets that you slip out and heat in teh microwave nad then slip them back in. I tend to use the booties more than the mittens.

You know.... I was loving the warmth...but now last night I used and was so happy to jump under the blankets to get warm and after about 10 minutes, started to have pain in my feet and toes, legs, etc. WHAT THE HECK, THE PAIN WAS WORSE WITH THE WARMTH, maybe it was too warm and too much change between cold then warm????????/

CAN'T WIN HERE

..I bought me an electric blanket last week. I'm at work right now dreaming about how good it's going to feel when I get home. Here's another trick. Put your jacket or shirt in the dryer and heat it up before you put it on to leave the house. Feels good. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rotfl.gif

Oooooo sounds so good! So happy for you Paula!

Anyone have suggestions for my ice cold nose and ears when I'm sleeping?

Hi Anisah,

I've been known to wear a beanie to bed which helps keep my head and ears warm style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Very fetching look style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif but I stay warm. We lose a lot of heat through our heads. What to do about the nose I'm not sure, do they make nose warmers? Or if that fails then stick it under the covers style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif

I would be lost style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/afraid.gif without my heating pad and electric blanket!!!

I too love slipping into the covers at bedtime and feeling the warmth, definitely helps me rest better! I also love to use the heating pad when watching tv or when on the computer, seems my hips have been taking the brunt of the lupus pain lately style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hissy1.gif .

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ermm.gif When I have a flare up or joint pain I cannot stand anything hot as my joints rediate so much heat and inflammation, I prefer ice packs,I think it is strange that although we all have similiar problems we are all so unique in how we deal with our pain, I do however like a hot water bottle for monthly cramps and hot pad for sore cold hands due to raynaulds. Hope you arre all having a good day and if you are in pain then the" heat packs"or "cold ice" works for you. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif

Lily - thanks sweetie, I'm currently doing the tucking my nose into the covers to keep warm ... adding the beanie should help.

thanks again,

When I was a little girl I had that blanket but didn?t know I might need it one day so I took all those wires out of it and was playing with it so I destroyed it style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
I just bought 10 heating pads and I am so happy, later I?m going to buy heated gloves, those are a bit expencive but my hands are the most important....
Kisses to all...
