hi everyone -
im stefanie - im 17 and have had a recent flare up of lupus which has really brought me down. After thinking mine was in "remission" to an extent - ive recently had fluid around my lungs and heart.
but im beginning to recover - have planned my 18th b-day celebration for late november and am hoping to start back to university soon.
Im a singer, so it is tough for me to deal with having the lupus in those particular parts of my body. For a long while I could hardly breath.
But what i wanted to say was that positivity is so important for me - and learning to see past what may seem like the worst situation in the world.
I am lucky, as i have been told that this flare will pass, and that i will get back to things as normal.

I want everyone to know that they are not alone. I have questioned a lot over the past while - but i know that these experiences make us stronger.
You have to "keep smiling, keep shining"
