Hi everyone, I have Peripheral Neuropathy, which means I have numbness in both feet and occasionally pain in heals. My question is if any of you have this, are you able to drive? Too scared to drive, or have no problem driving. If you do drive with P.N. Please let me know if there is something I can do to help myself. I think I can drive but Im a little nervous to. Hope to hear from you. I hope your all doing well! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif Hugs....Joanne style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif

I have very numb feet and it isn't a problem for driving. I still have positional sense and that's all you need to drive. I have sensori-motor axonal neuropathy, and it is the motor part of it that is more of a problem for me with driving. I have to drive an automatic as my hamstring has been very affected in one leg so I can't use a clutch anymore, and one arm is very weak so I need to get a spinner on the steering wheel so I can drive with one hand as my weak arm has been known to fall off the steering wheel which makes it tricky.

Thanks for responding, thats what I thought, I can feel in parts of my foot, and have no trouble with the pedals, I feel better now. People always ask me, if my feet are numb, how do I walk. I just do! Hugs...Joanne
