Hi all,

I haven't posted in a while, as I have had over the last few months been feeling very poorly and sitting at the computer after work is the last thing I could face.

So... i felt the worst since my initial attack style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif and my ANA went up to 5120, and I showed multiple problems with my blood work levels and finally after two years and three doctors. I got some medication for more than 1 month.

Plaqunil and prednisone. I started to feel better within a few days. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hyper.gif In fact I felt sooooo good. I went and got pregnant within two weeks of starting the treatment. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scaredy.gif For those that remember hubby and I have been trying for 5 years! I had my endometriosis removed in March and we were booked in for a visit to the IVF specialist. Everyone was telling us that it was my husbands slightly immature sperm. I told my GP it was probably my immune system attacking the sperm. Looks like I might have been right.

So I am coming up to 10 weeks style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif and am hoping it will work out. I will of course let you know how it progresses style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clover.gif . But I really just wanted to post here so those contemplating getting preganant and having trouble know that it does happen - eventually.....

P.S other than hubby and mom you are the first to know as I have been told not to say anything until week 12 and possibly later.

P.P.S - i hope i like 'it' I HATE babies! d*#n husband it's his fault!!!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Bye for now.

Jodie

Hi Everybody,
I am new on this site although I've been having lupus for many years. I am 32 now and I of course wish to have a child. I lost a pregnancy 2 weeks ago (7 week-old) due to my disease, although my lupus is inactive (as my Doktor says). My doktor wants me to take some medicines in order to avoide the same next time, but I am very afraid of taking pills. (At the moment the only medicine I take is Aspirine and I never had to take anything else.)
So, I just decided to log in this site in order to get some experiences and advices from other women being in the same situation. (I am from Hungary where we don't have the same forum to get such info.)
Could you please let me know your personal experiences???
I am waiting for your comments. Thanks in advance.
Ginger

Congratulations Jodie! That is wonderful news. All the best to you and I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy. What exciting news!

Ginger, I am sorry to hear about your loss. You may want to post a new topic so people who are just skimming through can find your post easier. Although I can't offer any suggestions as I haven't had the blessing or joy of being allowed to get pregnant yet due to lupus, I'm sure some of the other ladies on this site will be able to offer you some advice and thoughts. Take care!
