Does anyone know about the doctors at Minor & James in Seattle? I have an appointment next week and I need a "hand holder" doc?

Also, I am brand new to this site. Never done any of these message board before. Anything I should know?

Hi ineedapug,

I also am heading into Minor & James next Wed or Thur. I can't remember which day it is. I picked out a Female Dr. I don't know anything about her, I'm just hoping for answered prayer.

I am fairly new to the Lupus board, Ive posted a few times, I mostly come here to read & learn from others.

The ladies are a great group here, they will help you in any way that they can.

Remember to write your questions down, and try to take someone with you, because if you are like me you can never remember what the Dr. said to begin with.

Hang in there, if you need anything just holler
Big Hugs

I see one of the older male docs there. The doctors there were rated top in Seattle in 2004, but I'm not real happy with mine. I've been seeing him since May and he has never once done anything more than have me walk three feet and back, hold out my arms and turn them over, listen to my heart and lungs, and look at the sclerotic lesion on one leg. He ordered hand x-rays, an MRI, and an EEG. That's it. He is very conservative and rarely talks. His record-keeping leaves a lot to be desired. I"m changing docs soon.

He is quite compassionate, though. But he won't give you many answers, even if you ask.

Hope that helps. If you want more, PM me.

And if you're looking for a support group, let me know!
