style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavey.gif hi
well i have been to see the camouflage specialist and it was well worth it style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif and i was lucky to see one locally because usually people from the area where i live have to travel miles to be seen but as luck would have it the hospitla i attend is running a pilot scheme for a year.
the specialist uses a product called veil and there is such a range of skin tone colours that most skin types can be catered for even if they need to be blended. i was shown how to apply the camouflage by using a really small amount on the tip of my finger and using a gentle rolling motion to cover the area of skin that needs to be covered. i then have to apply a powder which is dermacolor P1 powder to set the camouflage and after ten minutes or so you dab the powder off with a damp piece of cloth (i will use a flannel).
i always considered that i did not mind having red cheecks and a nose that would compete with ruddolph (it's been like that since i was a teenager) but once the camouflage was on it looked so good - and my skin had a healthy glow instead of being red that i wanted the products straight away style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif but i have to wait for the specialist to write to my gp so that he can prescribe them for me this will take about two weeks and although buying them on perscription will be cheaper i am considering buying them over the counter without the perscription.
