Hey all......
Anyone know a good rheumatologist in the San Bernardino/Redlands/Riverside/Loma Linda area?
I am not able to drive to Los Angeles, we live in Lake Arrowhead. My previous Rheum was in Santa Monica, too far to drive.
I have called a few, they are all booked up till June or July for new patients.
Help?
Thanks!

I can't help with a specific doctor, but would like to recommend that you call the closest university affiliated medical school clinic. They provide top notch and cutting edge care and several docs review your case and I think the more brains looking at it the better.
Because MOST rheumatologists are VERY busy, you might want to go ahead and make your appointment now in case there is NO ONE who can see you before June unless you have a health crisis. Many docs offices keep a list of people who are willing to take cancelled appointments should they occur before their appointment comes up and you can ask to be put on that list to be called. Maybe you'll get in sooner.
I wish you well as you move forward.

Buggy,
Angela has given you good information. I live north of Los Angeles and drive into to Beverly Hills to see Dr. Daniel Wallace he is probably the top lupus doctor on the West Coast. I don't know what prevents you from driving into the Los Angeles area. Many of us drive quite a distance to be seen by rheumatologists that specialize in lupus. I know your drive is much longer than mine but wouldn't be longer than some of the members who drive upto 6 hours to see their specialists.
One thought is UCRiverside does it have a medical program in their curriculum? I can't remember the other well known hospitals out that direction and have no idea if any of them have lupus specialists on staff.
Good luck,
Karen
