Rae, I just saw your post. I have seen a rheumatologist named Dr. Grecco in Waterbury, CT in the middle of the state. He was recommended to me by a very dear poster who used the name Louise Sr. on the old Lupus Foundation boards. She and I both liked him a lot. I can no longer see him regularly because he's not in my managed care network. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hissy1.gif

Louise Sr. had to stop seeing him too because she was very ill with several conditions and needed to be at a place where her doctors could consult with each other about her on a daily basis. So she switched to a team of drs. at Yale New Haven Hospital. She said she missed Dr. Grecco and that he was the only person who was able to diagnose her very serious complications; she was very grateful to him.

I really liked him too. I saw him at a time when my symptoms were getting worse but the bloodwork didn't reflect that. My rheumatologist had moved away, a new one seemed to disregard everything I said and implied it was all in my head. I went to Dr. Grecco and he was wonderful to me! He was enormously sympathetic about the pain and frustration I was experiencing, and I remember thinking he was like an energetic detective searching for clues. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif So I highly recommend him.

(Sadly, Louise passed away several years ago. She helped me so much here in CT, she knew all the drs. and best places for treatment. She was perhaps the kindest person I've ever known.)

Jmaca- thank you so much for your information, I will be looking up this Dr. Grecco. We actually live in Newtown so Waterbury is not that far away so it is possible, depending on the insurance he takes. I appreciate your response!!!
