Is it safe to use facilities in the spa such as steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis

Apart from being the last person in the western world who's never used a cell phone, I am also the only one who has never been in a jacuzzi, or so it seems.

I doubt if I'd get out of a sauna or hot room alive or sane because I very much dislike heat of any sort, in a general sense. My skin which is very dry already would probably peel off, my lupus skin would .......... I don't dare think of it & heaven knows what it would do to my veins, heart and all that.

In general, I do not think exposure to extremes of any sort is good for people with lupus, on the other hand there are many less aggressive ways of enjoying and benefiting from the spa experience, gentle massage for example.

Just my personal 2 cts.
