<span style="font-size:11pt;line-height:100%"><span style="color:#CC33CC"><span style="font-family:Comic Sans Ms">Hello there, I'm 15, got lupus a while back, well wen i was 10. my twin sis has it also,as does my older sis - lupus of the brain. it was always thought that i was well, yea my kidneys were involved but they werent causin serious problems - i was well enough. My doctor just wanted 2 give me a biopsy 2 make sure. The results weren't gd n i had 2 hav chemotherapy n go on a really high dose of pred. The increased weight use 2 really get me down, i was entering my teenage years and it didnt help. After 3 infusions, we found out it wasn't workin and so i got this new drug called rituximab. it seems 2 b doin the trick and has really worked wonders, i've been the best ive ever been since getting lupus and i now hav energy i never knew existed in my body. i was just wonderin if ne1 else has had this drug??? if so plz reply back.

i havent had the same expereince as you have had with lupus.

i saw your post and just would like to say im glad that the meds are working for you thats one thing i do know about is finding right meds.im sure many others do too.
i think its also good that people of different ages can share thoughts on here.
i only know one lady with discoid lupus (the one that effects skin).
i have sle so not the same as the person i know.
