Hi everyone,
I went to see my Rheumie yesterday due to Lupus flare, they tried to take me off planquil at christmas and now im suffering the consiquenses. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/aww.gif

He told me that my Lymphosites are really low, please could anyone enlighten me on what this is? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif

Hi Lucy
I had never heard of them (think though they are spelled lymphocytes). Anyway did a quick google search and you might find these links interesting. Just put in Lymphocytes Low into Google and there are several sites you might find interesting.

Just want to add in a 2 cents worth note:

Lymphocytes (white blood cells) are very often found to be low in autoimmune illnesses such as lupus because the immune response can stay on high alert for only so long churning out excess white blood cells until it can become overwhelmed and produce too few for a time. The situation usually resolves when the autoimmune problem is under control.

IF THE DOC HAD SAID WHITE CELLS IT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SO DAUNTING

Hi Lucy,

Well if they are really low then that may be the case. I wonder how low they are, mine were always a little below normal until they got my lupus under control. But I wasnt getting infections or anything to indicate they were drastically low, and well fatigue hmmmmm we get it anyway?
