Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has their lungs affected.

On my chest xray it turned out that I had hyperinflation of both lungs and interstitial markings in the middle and bottom of my left lung. I had been have alot of shortness of breath in exertion and some even when just sitting around. Always feeling water logged and like I can't get enough oxygen. Some pain also.

Looking at my xray, I can see whiteness, kind of reminds me of a cloud. Also some white spots.

I get paranoid about it. You know...I imagine the worse. My doctor is ordering a CT scan with contrast, pulmonary function studies and wants me to get a echo of my heart. Which I have an appt. with a cardiologist in 10 days anyway.

I would appreciate any advice whether you've had any problems or know of anything...

Thanks style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif

Hi Gayle,

I get the same thing, my lungs feel heavy and full. "Water logged" is a good way to describe the feeling. The nurse checked my blood oxygen saturation and it was below normal. The dr didn't believe it, so she checked again, same result.

For now i'm back on Advair. If it doesn't help, i go back in. Hopefully I won't pass out in the meantime. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/faint.gif

Please keep us updated on you.

Take care.

Gayle-
I have had lung problems! Inflammation of the pluera(sac around lungs)fluid around the lungs, blood clots in the lungs, and pericarditis(inflammation around the heart sac). I have been on Pred for this since last April. Started Methotrexate 7 weeks ago so I can start to taper the Pred. All these symptoms have been reoccurring off and on since last year. I think the Metho is going to work, as I am feeling much better these days! Good luck! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/foryou.gif kimb

Hi Gayle,

I also have had lung problems. Fluid around my lungs that had to be drained twice in a month. That was over 7 years ago. I had scar tissue pain for over 2 and I still have pain depending on how much I over do it. I was put on plaquenil immediately and it helped with the fluid. I haven't had it return. I hope this info helps. Take care.
