a question for those with scleroderma

Hi,

I was just wondering...with scleroderma, what does it look like when your hands are affected? What does the skin look like, location...and does it itch?

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hi Gayle, my hands are mottled, and swollen, and around my nails the skin is thick, and it splits open. It has also made my thumb nails and a couple of finger nails lift up. Very ugly hands.
How has it affected you ?

Hi Lou,

I don't have it, it was more of a curiosity question, because I notice there are a few people on the board that have an overlap of lupus and scleroderma. Somewhere, I'm not sure where (major memory loss) I read that it itches. Also, some years ago, I knew someone that had it. Also, a lady at work, her roommate has it.
