Just complaining here.
Last night was the 4th day of soaking the sheets with sweat. I started with the night sweats a year ago, then they calmed down for a very long time.
Now they are back !!
I felt bad last night and didn't want to wake the hubby, so layed in wetness. Changed the nightgown, but the sheets and matress were wet.
Why does this happen like this?

Hello Paula.
This always happens to me when my ESR levels rise and i am about to or having a flare.
It could be from the sun ... Look out for yourself, if you think you might be flaring dont leave too long untill you see someone.

Don't know how many times that has happened to me. Instead of waking up hubby I sleep in the guest room or on the couch. Hope the night sweats stop for you soon.
Take care,

Hi,
I had night sweats a couple of years ago, just a few months after I came out of remission. But once my lupus was stabilized they stopped. My understanding is that when a lupus patient has night sweats they rule out menopause/peri-menopause and thyroid before blaming it on the lupus. You can ask your doctor to run bloods to check your thyroid and your hormone levels.
Take care,
Karen

Hi Paula
I feel for you, night sweats suck. I went through night sweats for a week with my last flare, I don't know why it happens, I guess it's just part of Lupus or inflamation. Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs Jude

Paula
I started having them back 20 years ago after the birth of my first child. I have had them ever since on and off. The doctors never pay much attention when I mention it so I guess it's not much to worry about. This last bout I am just coming out of lasted at least 6 weeks. I was up 2 or 3 times a night changing my clothes. No hubby here, so no one to annoy but myself!
I hope it ends soon.
Hug, Paula!
