I am lucky to have a really wonderful boyfriend, i mean its relieving to know that a special someone understands that u have SLE.
I am 19 and YES i have a boyfriend and he does know about me having SLE. Um, im just happy that he supports me all the way, and hes telling me that its gonna be ok. Hes one amazing person and i guess hes the only person i draw strength from other than my parents. He was the one who told me and made me acceot what i have. I was in denial knowin that i have this kind of chronic illness, but he was just always there to make me understand that its not too late to accept and move on with my life havin SLE. That there is no use not moving on and just being in that shadow of helplessness knowing u have SLE. He brought me out into the OPEN and told me that i still can live a normal life with HIM by my side... After hearing that, i was happy and that i had this sense of full trust that i can make it through life even having SLE.
