Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say I'm back. The tonsillectomy had a few complications but I am out of hospital and back to work now and on the mend. I hope everyone has been doing as well as possible over the last few weeks and I look forward to talking with all of you again.

Welcome back Angee!!
I'm glad the surgery was a success!
Did your neuro ever get you onto some disease modifying meds? I remember you were having some problems with that a while back but it sounds like all is going pretty good with you back at work and all.
It's good to hear from you again, don't be a stranger.
Let us know how you are progressing.
Hugs
Julie

Yes I did have jelly and ice cream though even on such an unhealthy diet I managed to lose more than half a stone. Everything tastes terrible and just hurts so I stayed on mostly liquids at first. I have only just had my first crisps and toast today (2 and half weeks after). I did a lot of yogurt because I felt like I was getting no nutrients otherwise, and it didn't seem to taste as odd as everything else.

I haven't seen the neuro recently as I was pretty much on quarantine at home to avoid being exposed to anything that could cause problems such as smoke and viruses. However, I have my first Rheumy appointment in a week so possibly it will all be addressed at that time. Thanks for the concern. I will let everyone know how it goes after I have been to see him.

Isn't it just like a doc to send you back to work but not let you come in for an appt due to quarantine?
The more I hear about the NHS, the more I have to shake my head.
Did they administer any prednisone, etc pre- and post-surgery, at least. I really don't know how you are able to keep up with everything you do without the appropriate treatment. It just makes no sense.
I hope you are placed on an appropriate treatment regimen very soon.
Let us know what the rheumy says.
Hugs
