im sorry for always ramblin and being so confused these couple of days on what i should take, if its gonna be cyclophosamide or cellcept, but finally i got the decision, the last and final decision.. im gonna take the cyclophosamide... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clover.gif Good luck, just a note from my experience. I am 39 and was terrified to start "chemo". Knowing that I did not have a choice, dialysis was not what I was ready for either, I went. The staff was wonderful and explained everything. The gave my Zofran IV first to help prevent nausea, then the IV of Cytoxan. They then made sure I had three tablets of Zofran for the night and next day & stool softeners (they said you don't want to poop concrete (sorry for the graphics but it convinced me that it was important) and to drink lots of water. The first night I went home and laid on the couch waiting to feel something, after a couple of hours I said, let's go eat, I'm hungry and don't know what to expect. Thankfully nothing happened, even when he upped the amount of Cytoxan. After each one I would take it easy but often would go back to my coaching job and continue as if I did not even have a treatment. I'm very thankful, I responded well and only needed 6 treatments, now 2 years of Cell Cept is my follow up. <span style="color:#33CCFF">hei everybody...... i know uve been wanting to hear news from me today bout the chemo, but sad to say, i didnt have it today, there were some misunderstandings bout the doctor and his secretary, the doctor thought that i wouldnt be taking the chemo today but the secretary scheduled me for chemo today... i dont know, my mom and i waited there for lyk 5 hours max and by the end of the day we were sent home.. its so annoying, plus the time that we waited was all for nothing... but tomorow hopefully i can have the treatment, and i think im havin a minor flare on my joints and my knees are hurting a bit... oh well, im still gonna try and have my luck tomorow... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ermm.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ermm.gif hope it will all be worth it! again.... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doh.gif </span>

I just wanted to let you know i will be praying for you also and will be waiting to ehar how the chemo went for you. I just hope you got it started today for your sake. the waiting can get to you and be stressfull to. So hang in there it will be allgood soon for you. I just had the chemo yesterday... It all went lyk this...

Of course we had this 2-hour trip on a non-aircon bus going to the city where i should meet my rheumy for the treatment, it went ok... But it was hot, compared to the temperature u have there at UK and some onther countries, here in the philippines, is really really hot, i had a fan with me and and a "BIG A@#" bottle of cold mineral water, LOL! It kept me alive there! LOL!.... The bus ride was ok.... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Before we got to the hospital we went to my school to get the sketch for the boutique where they make the togas for the graduation, oh btw for those who didnt know, i am graduating this 30th.. hehehe, and i never knew that i was goin to receive a medal as 2nd highest honors on my graduation.. i never expected it.... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ok.gif hehehe, well anyways, we got to this boutique and have my fit for the toga.... After that, we finally got to my rheumy's clinic in a hospital.... and it was a relief because it wasnt hot anymore, it was airconditioned but still i got this fan with me... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hehe.gif ... My mom and i were early there, so we had to wait... And then my rheumy came, i was so happy because i knew it would finally start to and to get it over with too... I was really scared style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/scaredy.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif at first coz i dont know how it would feel.. He then did the IV thing... At first, it made me really lousy, and i felt really sleepy style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yawn.gif ... My rheumy was expecting the dextrose to finish at aprroximately 45 minutes but because i had this really small vein, it was lyk 2 hours or so.... it was sooo slow style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sigh.gif .... but it went ok... I got really hungry, and so i ate, and after the treatment i really ATE a lot! LOL! i didnt know why but it really made me hungry.. there's this feeling that i should lyk keep on eating, and i cant stop! LOL! and guess wat?????? Im still eating a lot until now... hahaha... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rotfl.gif

Im on PLASIL now, and 30mg of prednisone and some calcium stuff to counter the effect of prednisone...

thanks pauline.. i dont know really if im taking cancer doses, but by god, i think im not.. im just wonderin coz watslove told me it got her really weak after she had it, but with me, it wasnt... i was ok.. thank god i was... i dont know wat i would i would do if i felt sumthing after that... its been 4 days since the chemo thou...

im really ok.. and i thank god im ok, god is takin care of me a lot, and all of you here too... thank you.. and im all praying for us here... god is always with us, and if you only ask him to give you strength and courage to cope with our sickness, hes willing to and and he may do even more...
