Hi all
If you are referred by your employer, or ask to be referred, to Occupational Health for an assessment of your capability to do your job on health grounds, you may be retired on health grounds. I suggest you contact your union as this may have implications for your pension rights.

'The Pensions Helpline
TPAS operates a national telephone helpline manned by pensions professionals who will provide information and guidance on any aspect of occupational, personal pensions, stakeholder pensions and state pensions. It serves members of the public but not those acting in a professional capacity such as financial advisers, solicitors etc.
Lines are manned Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. You can call outside of these times and leave a number for someone to call you back.
The Helpline number is 0845-6012923'
