hi guys!
Just wanna tell you that I just had a skin biopsy 2 hours ago. They took a sample on my lower neck. The doc said there will be a scar because of the stitches. Oh no! another scar again! well, anyway, I am hoping they can do something about my skin. I still have red rashes on my face from my flare up last year. Everytime these rashes appears on my face and on my neck, it always takes a looonnnggg time to fade. I have to use concealer and foundation to cover them even though I hate make ups. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sigh.gif
I am also due to see a Urologist soon. I think I am gonna have a shockwave for my kidney stones.
well, just here to update the latest. thanks for listening!
Hi Watslove,
I hope they can come up with something, often if the Lupus is controlled the rashes wont be as bad. I know yours doesnt sound that well controlled right now. But I get what you mean, its bad enough feeling rotten without having constant rashes and people staring. It shouldnt worry us, but it does get to me at times and does nothing for our self esteem and image. But hopefully things are going to turn around for you soon.
I didnt realise you have kidney stones, maybe I missed something? Is this in addition to Lupus causing problems with your kidneys? I've heard of them breaking the stones up as you mention, so that sounds like a good solution

Yes Lily, I have a small kidney stone. They just found out couple of weeks ago when I have my kidney biopsy. Yeah, that's what my nephrologist said. They will gonna break it.
Thanks Lily and to all who replied!

Hi, Watslove! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
Scars tend to go through stages during the healing process and on fair skinned people they are more visible in the beginning. They usually start out a beefy red color and gradually fade over time to kind of a silvery color that blends with surrounding skin.
I've dealt with a lot of scars and understand how you feel about the way they look, especially on the neck and face. I've found that when the scar tissue is at it's darkest, that a sunless tanning lotion product spread over the skin helps to make the scar tissue blend in and become less noticeable.
I hope things go well for you!
