was rushed in icu

well as some you know i have spent most the year dealing with lupus then i have been in hospital with 90%scared kidneys the docters started me on meds etc and i was getting ready to go back to work


so last tuesday i was walking in to town i collapsed next thing i remember i was in the ambulance being rushed to a&e

it turns out while i was in the ambulance i had a cardiac arrest this all took place at 2pm
i then come round at 11pm that evening to find i was in intensive care uni!!!!!

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif Roxie - what a harrowing experience! Apparently the universe is not done with you just yet, and I am so glad that you are now home and recovering. Have they tested you for APS? I don't know enough about nephritis I guess - does that contribute to clotting disorders?

When this happened (you collapsing) did you have any warning signs or symptoms before hand? They say we women are terrible about not recognizing heart attack signs. I am sure any information you could share about your experience would be of great help to me and others!

How terrifying! I'm glad you pulled through. And I admire your spirit. You are already back here with us, filling us in on the ups and downs and not sounding at all like somebody who's been through heck and back. Take it easy and continue to keep us posted.

I have learnt so much about APS from being on that site (I am presuming you have APS, it's the usual cause of clots in people with lupus).

keep a close eye on that INR, you really need to keep it therapeutic

yes i have keep my nir at a 3,4 so there check it every week from now on!!

as for warrning signs i was fine one min next i went hot felt bit sick then bang !!! went down so really not much of a warrning.

yes teri j they where givein it to me as injection every night.

and as for haveing breathing problems yer i do have proplems with it but they say thats pulrsy and my astma!! but when it happend i kinnda memmber being really hot and coudt breath but then went in to arrest so dont know what happend then xxxxx

yer claire i was ment to be going spain in june but i think we might be leaving it for now to let me get better but if you all dint know your insurance is more to fly when you have lupus because of the risk of clots i never knew this also good idea to see if you can pay extra to have your own oxegen, style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

I just met you i chat for the first time but did not realize how much for sure you had been through. You do have a remarkable spirit for somone who has been though so much lately.
